Dedicated to the memory of John Gofton
This site is a tribute to John Richard Gofton who passed away on 28th April 2023 at the age of 84.
A father of four, grandfather of four, lover of nature and the great outdoors, walker, bird watcher, gardener, photographer, steam train enthusiast, connoisseur of cakes in the tea rooms and cafes of the UK, baker of rock cakes, forager, maker of jam and marmalade, fan of procedural police dramas (pref. Scandinavian), proud Geordie and Newcastle United fan. A kind, loving man whose gentle spirit rubbed off on everyone who knew and loved him.
He is much loved and will always be remembered.
