My mother's family were all part of the Gofton clan. They decided to build a short row of Dutch bungalows in Allendale, away from Monkseaton and possible air raids during WWII. I have vague memories of many cousins, including John and Margaret, staying in the house next door to ours.  As small children, it was all a lovely adventure. Many memories of a big, happy, extended family.
